Alfa Laval wins order to supply equipment to edible oil company
Alfa Laval, a Swedish company specialized in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling technologies, has won an order to supply engineering and equipment to an edible oil company in Indonesia.
The order is valued at approximately SEK85m ($12.63m), while the delivery is scheduled for 2012.
Alfa Laval will supply engineering and also equipment for two new refining production units as well as equipment to increase the capacity of two existing units. When completed, the facility will be one of the largest edible oil production plant in the world, the company said.
Alfa Laval Group president and CEO Lars Renstrom said the company has seen a very strong growth in edible oil investments, especially in the fast-growing countries.
"The order also confirms our strong position as a solution provider for the edible oil industry," Renstrom added.
Alfa Laval Alfa Laval is a global provider of specialized products and engineering solutions. It reported annual sales of about SEK24.7bn ($3.67bn) in 2010.
